Obituary for Lucy Procida

Lucy Procida, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2017.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michaels Church in Cranford, NJ, on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:30am. Mastapeter Funeral Home in Roselle Park is handling the arrangements.
Lucy was born on St. Lucia Day, December 13, 1929. As the patron saint of the blind, our Lucia was “light” to all who knew her.
Born in Bayonne, NJ, Lucy always considered herself a New Yorker. She loved the City and all it had to offer. She held the position of treasurer at a nuclear engineering firm in NYC for most of her adult life and considered her coworkers “family”.
Lucy enjoyed spending time with her siblings, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Her authentic kindness, loyalty, and generous spirit was shared freely with all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her parents Alphonso and Mary Procida, and five siblings Martin Procida, Anne Zec, Pam Barnack, Al Procida, and Gloria Mack, and a niece Linda Procida-David.
She will forever remain in the hearts of her loving sister; Josephine Procida Iacono; dearest friend Rachel Budd; nieces and nephews Patrick Mack, Deborah DeCotiis, Lance and Jay Mack, Paul and Kenneth Iacono, Ronald and Gail Zec, Arlene Kubek, Pam Parillo, Cindy Mullins, and Dawn Procida. She also leaves behind many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
