Obituary for Lyman L Thompson
Lyman L. Thompson, Sr., 85, lifelong Roselle Park resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2015.
Visitation is 6 to 9pm on Wednesday at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park. At the request of the family the morning of the funeral will be private.
He was a division manager for AT&T in Newark for 38 years, retiring 26 years ago, prior to that he worked for Schering Plough Pharmaceutical in Kenilworth for 14 years.
Lyman graduated Gettsburg College with a B.S. Degree and then New York University in New York City where he received his Master Degree in Business Management.
He was also a former Roselle Park 1st Ward Councilman.
He is predeceased by his wife Dolores C. (Fisher) Thompson.
Surviving are two loving children Lyman L. Thompson, Jr. and April C. Gilroy and her husband William G.; dear brother Harold Nelson; and three adored grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, and Tyler.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Community Access for the Handicap, 80 West Grand St., Elizabeth, NJ, 07202 in Lyman’s memory.
