Arvene Richard Yeager, 77 of Bayville, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 19, 2019. Born and raised in Jersey City, he lived in Lyndhurst before moving to Bayville over 50 years ago. Mr. Yeager was an Independent Truck Driver with over 30 years of service. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. Arvene was an avid fly fisherman, a talented musician with the guitar and organ, also a devoted soccer fan for the Manchester United Team of England, and a “Professional Grandfather”.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, June; two children, Arvene Yeager and his wife Wendy, and Ross Yeager; four grandchildren; Katrina and her husband Alex, Dane, Arvene and his wife Olivia and Jake; two siblings, John Yeager and his wife Nancy and Maureen Gorgano and her husband Bob and his best friend, his pet dog, Zee. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Yeager.
A memorial gathering for relatives and friends will be offered on Sunday, Sept. 22nd, from 12noon to 2pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arvene’s memory to: Marine Toys for Tots, (https://www.toysfortots.org), would be appreciated.
