Obituary for Carl A Bauer
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Carl A. Bauer, on July 6, 2019. He was surrounded by his loving family and was 86 years old. Carl was a lifetime resident of Roselle Park and Kenilworth only moving to the Hopewell area a few years ago to be closer to his children.
Carl was the youngest son of Patrick & Elizabeth Bauer, both of Roselle Park and is predeceased by his brothers, Neil, James, William & Robert Bauer.
Carl started his career as a barber, but ultimately became a Union County Probation Officer retiring in 1997. He was also an accomplished musician playing drums in several bands, most notably the Joe Patrillo Band. Carl was a practicing Roman Catholic, who enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and cruising, good food, music and his NY Yankees. He and his wife Maria have been enjoying winters in Florida over the past 18 years in retirement.
He is survived by his dear wife, Maria, with whom he recently celebrated 60 years of marriage, his children, Tyrone Bauer (Margaret Genovesi-Bauer), Skillman & Taryn Bauer (Sandi Zelis), Titusville, grandchildren, Carl; & Rose Bauer, sister Eleanor Bauer, who will soon turn 100 and numerous nieces & nephews throughout NJ & Florida.
The patriarch of our family will be deeply missed.
