Jonathan S. Sperber, 76, of Bayville, died suddenly while traveling from his vacation home in Satellite Beach, Florida. Born in Newark and raised in Cranford, he moved to Bayville in 1964. Mr. Sperber was employed with Ciba-Geigy Corporation in Toms River for over 19 years. He then was employed with Berkeley Township Sanitation Department for many years before retiring 15 years ago. John enjoyed his trips to Atlantic City, making his famous "Wildberry Shiraz" wine, their new vacation home in Florida, spending time with his dog/ best friend "Buster" and loved fishing. He was predeceased by his parents, Emmanuel and Edith and by his 8 siblings.
Surviving are; his wife of 56 years Patricia; three children, Jonathan Sperber, Holly Fritz and her husband Richard and Michele Ramsay and her husband Walter; four grandchildren, Nickolas, Courtney, Chloe and Karina; four siblings, Victor and his wife Grace, Philip and his wife Diane, Timothy and his wife Jan and Annie Salimbene; his sister-in-law Sandra Andrews and her husband Robert; his nieces and nephews, Cathy Jean Hall, Peggy Sue Russell, Lester Anderson Jr., John Anderson, Kenneth Anderson, Sherry Parmley, James Sperber, Caroline Wittke,Tammy Salimbene; and many more nieces, nephews and friends.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, June 25th, from 3pm to 7pm, with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm, in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Cremation will be private.
