James M. Coulter, 79, of Bayville, died suddenly after a brief illness at his vacation home in Jupiter, Fl. He was born in South Amboy, raised in Union, then lived in Cranford for 30 years and in Bayville the past 20 years. He enjoyed his vacation home in Jupiter Fl spending time with family and friends there.
Mr. Coulter was a Master Plumber and was well versed in his trade as a craftsman. He was a life member of Plumbers’ Union Local 24 and served many years there as union instructor. He proudly served his country in the US Navy where he was a trained aircraft repairman. Jim always had a smile on his face. He was thoughtful and never complained. He took great pride in working around his homes, especially for his son.
Surviving are; his wife of 52 years, Frances; and his son James S. Coulter and his wife Colleen. Also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Finizio and her husband Ernie and, Mary O’Neil and her husband James. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Ann and by his 2 siblings, Robert Coulter and Margaret Stanley.
Visiting hours will be Friday, June 14th, from 5pm to 9pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville 08721. Funeral Saturday, 8am at the funeral home before celebrating a 9:30am Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville 08721. Entombment will follow to, ST. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory to; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, (stjude.org), would be appreciated.
