Obituary for Nicholas Frank Picciano

Nicholas Frank Picciano, 81, of Spring Texas, passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2019.

Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Friday, June 1 4, 2019 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.

Visitation will be 5 to 8pm on Thursday.

Nicholas was born in Manfredonia, Italy on June 4, 1938. Nicholas made his way to America at the age of 18 where he established his roots and eventually met his wife, Caroline Guercio Picciano while working together in Kenilworth, N.J. Nicholas and Caroline would soon start their family in Roselle Park, N.J. Nicholas was always the life of the party, making family and strangers smile with the wit of a joke. Nicholas worked part time for many years at the Cranford Hotel where he entertained patrons on weekends. Nicholas also worked for many years at Kean Lighting in Union, N.J. and later at Automat Service in Avenel, N.J. where he would meet countless friends who adored him and loved his company. Nicholas was an amazing father with an incredible work ethic to support his family. Nicholas enjoyed most in life, spending time with family and friends. His smile would light up a room when he was in the company of any of his thirteen Grandchildren.

Nicholas was predeceased by his Mother Ruth Picciano, his Father Domenico Picciano and his beloved wife, Caroline Guercio Picciano.

He is survived by his sister, Jackie Alfano and her Spouse Nick Alfano. His children; Donald Picciano, Diana Schwaigert and her husband Eric, Sandra Venturella and her husband Joseph, Nicholas Picciano and his wife Roberta and David Picciano and his wife Kimberly.
Nicholas is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren: Denise, Deirdre, Deanna, Angela, Donald, Joseph, Andrew, Eric, Nicholas, Kayla, Anthony, Rena and Colton and a great-grandson Raymond.
