Obituary for Emma Rose Suskie (Schiller)
Emma Rose (nee: Schiller) Suskie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Roselle Park.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
Visitation will be 4 to7pm on Sunday.
Emma enjoyed being a member of Church of Assumption Rosary Society. She was president in 1958 and enjoyed performing in their variety shows, the Passion plays, and also played Santa Claus for many years. Emma was very active in the Democratic Party, enjoyed working for the election board for many years.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, John Suskie; siblings Cecelia Fackelmann, Charles Schiller, Anna MacDonald, and Helen Wojcio.
Emma is survived by her sister Stella Veronica “Ronnie” Yoost; five children, Barbara Hall (husband Robert), Susan Fadem, John Suskie (wife Denise), Jacqueline Veninata, and Robert Suskie; and her granddaughter Victoria “Tori” Veninata. She is also survived many nieces and nephews.
