Private Condolence

Not sure if Richie ever mentioned my name, Richard Haine....I was CFO of Avistar when Kohlberg purchased the company. Richie would tell me how he loved you and was very proud of the children. He was one in a million. I have a million memories of working with him. The first memory was that we would go to City Hall to pay real estate taxes, and everyone loved him. From the beat cops to the upper echelon, they all would come over and pay their respects to him. If I needed to get anything done, he know who to talk to (always a friend of his) and whatever needed to get done got done.

Please accept my condolences....a great man taken too soon.

Take care.

I can't believe this most recent news of Richie. Just recently friended you Gina, I am totally saddened of his passing way too soon. I was happy to have contacted you to let your dad know I was thinking of him. He loved horseracing, and I too was hooked. I remember Richie giving me tips of horses running in certain races, and the confidence of the horse coming in first. Specifically one day he told me that a horse was running in the first race at 8pm. It was 7:45 pm. I got in my car and sped to the Meadowlands to place a bet, coming home with about 10k in my pocket. Everybody was giving me money for this race. I'm saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences go out to the entire Roccia family. Richie inspired me of wanting to be a police officer which I became . May he RIP. Sincerely, Michael Pannullo.

Mr Roccia was a GREAT man, he had plenty to offer, kind words or a stern word when needed, he kept a good number of us kids on the right track and taught us about REAL life. Men like him are no longer the norm and the morals of society have shown that. He taught boys what it was to be a real man and MANY of us will carry that forever!
