Obituary for Armand Cistaro

Armand Cistaro, age 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019 surrounded by his family in Newark Beth Israel Hospital.

Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Wednesday, January, 30, 2019 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Tuesday.

A native of Roselle Park, he graduated from Roselle Park High School in 1974 and remained an active member of his graduating class reunion committee.

Armand took the phrase "larger than life" literally - both in his personality and his waist line.

He was Roselle Park's own comedian and food critic, often combining these two talents to shed light on a must-have burger or mock a bad sandwich. Not only will people remember him for his hilarious jokes and food reviews, but also for his stellar good looks and striking resemblance to James Bond.

Armand worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years. He later retired to become a full-time Pop-Pop to his beloved grandsons and continue his love for his hobbies of collecting sport and comic memorabilia.

Armand is predeceased by his adored father Armand Joseph Cistaro, Jr.
He will be forever remembered by his beloved wife of 37 years, Estela (nee: Bayawa) Cistaro, adored mother Jean (nee: Chiumento) Cistaro, dear brother John, loving son Armand Cistaro and his wife Jaclyn, loving daughter Amie Cistaro, and his Cherished grandsons AJ and Max.

In lieu of flowers, Armand would want everyone to live life to the fullest and "EAT CAKE!"
