Obituary for Werner Buchholz
Werner Buchholz, 77, of Roselle Park, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2019, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11am. Please be at the funeral home 10am. Interment will follow to Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Thursday.
Born in Germany in 1941, he immigrated to America with his family in 1955. They settled in Irvington where he met his wife, Julie.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1963-1969, achieving the rank of Corporal.
He was employed as a carpenter by the Irvington Board of Ed for 32 years, ultimately retiring as foreman in 2007. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, helping neighbors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julie (Seidler) of 53 years, his devoted children, Daniel, Andrew and his fiancé Ilona, & Jessica and her husband Jason, and his cherished grandchildren, Wesley and Briar.
