Obituary for Walter A. Lesniak
Walter A. Lesniak, 87, of Elizabeth, passed away at Elmora Hills Nursing Home on January 13, 2019. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in Pennsylvania for 7 years and Manahawkin, NJ for 11 years before moving back to Elizabeth.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 21, 2019, from 5 to 8pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at 10:30am at St. Theresa's RC Church, Kenilworth. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
Walter was a musician for over 50 years and was the band leader of the Walter Lesniak & his Orchestra. Walter served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army.
He was predeceased by his wife Genevieve in 2006. Surviving are his loving daughter Valerie (Lesniak) D'Errico and her husband Armando, cherished grandsons, Armando and David and his wife, Michelle; adored great grandson Adrian and his mother Jodi, and a dear brother, John Lesniak.
