Obituary for Antonio Cuppari

Antonio Cuppari, 86, of Kenilworth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 30, 2018.

Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 8:45am. A Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be 10am at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 4 to 8pm.

Antonio was born in Panaia, Calabria, Italy and came to the United States in 1956 settling in Kenilworth, where he created a beautiful life for his family.

Antonio, known to his loved ones as “Tony”, was an active part of the community.
He owned and operated Bella Napoli Pizzeria and Restaurant in Kenilworth, and was a part of the Italian American Social Club of Mount Carmel.

He came to this country as a mason with a strong work ethic and became successful in real estate.

Antonio stayed in touch with his home country by traveling back and forth for many years. He spent his later years tending to his garden, vacationing to the Jersey shore and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loyal friend and was loved by many.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Muzio, Saviano, Pasquale, and Michele, and his sisters, Domenica, Caterina, and Rosa.

Antonio is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Francesca (nee: Cino) Cuppari; five loving children, Girolamo Cuppari and his wife Robyn, Domenic Cuppari and his wife Telina, Antonio Cuppari, Maria Whaley and her husband Richard, Elisabetta O’Toole and her husband James; two dear sisters, Beatrice Cuppari and Immacolata Cavari; and seven adored grandchildren, Christina, Julia, Vanessa, Richard, Elizabeth, Keira, and Grace.
