Lewis R. Onofri, 88, of Cranford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 8:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am.
Visitation will be 4 to 8pm on Monday.
Born in Kenilworth, NJ, Lewis lived in Cranford, NJ for 58 years.
He was a postal worker for the United States Postal Service in Union for 22 years, retiring in 1992.
Lewis served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force, receiving the Japan Occupational Metal and the Korean Service Metal.
He loved to go on trips to Atlantic City.
Lewis is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Anita (nee: Lettieri) Onofri, two loving sons Gregg Onofri and his wife Michelle, and Glenn Onofri, a dear sister Antoinette Illein, and four adored grandchildren Phillip, David, Christopher, and Ava Grace.
