Obituary for Jayne A. Moormann

Jayne A. Moormann
Jayne A. Moormann, 62, of Beachwood, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2018 at Community Medical center in Toms River. She was born December 26, 1955 and grew up in Verona to parents James and Victoria Moormann. Some of her fondest memories were from her younger years working at Mrs. Jays and operating the rides on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. It was during that time when she met her former husband Bill. Jayne and Bill moved to Beachwood in 1989 with her their daughter Melissa. As their ties within the town grew, so did their family to include Michelle, Marilyn and James. Jayne was a pillar of strength, not only for being a caring mother, but also a genuine and loyal friend and a devoted disciple of Christ. She was heavily involved in the local community as a chair member on multiple Environmental Committees. She also annually volunteered with NJ Friends of Clearwater for over 30 years. She was a devoted Christian and spent most of her time worshiping Christ with friends from Community Christian Church of Lanoka Harbor and the Forked River Baptist Church. Additionally, she worked as a caregiver for various companies throughout her life including Holy Redeemer Home Care, Karing with Kindness, and Preferred Home Health Care.

Jayne had a large heart and in her later years found much joy in life's simple treasures, such as the flowers in her garden and the smiles on her grandchildren’s faces in the pool. She was constantly searching for ways to help those who were less fortunate. Often, she even opened her own home as a safe haven. Jayne will be deeply missed by many, from the friends who knew her as “Crazy Jayne” to “Sister in Christ” to the family who knew her as Mom, Nana and Wife. We pray her journey to Heaven is a safe trip.

Surviving are 4 children; Melissa, Michelle, Marilyn and James; 3 grandchildren, Destiny, Billy and Noah.

Visiting hours will be Friday, Sept. 21st, from 4pm to 7pm, with a prayer service at 6:30pm, Pastor Phil Strunk officiating, at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jayne’s memory to: Community Christian Church, 541 Liberty Way, Lanoka Harbor, NJ 08734, would be appreciated.
