Obituary for Eric J Cherego
Eric J. Cherego, 56, of Kenilworth, NJ passed away on September 13, 2018. Born and raised in Rahway, Eric moved to and lived in Kenilworth for the past 13 years.
He was employed by Wakefern Food Corp as a Global Standards Specialist for many years and prior to that he worked at Prudential Financial in Newark, NJ as a programmer. Eric graduated from Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains, obtained a BS from Susquehanna University and his MA from Seton Hall University.
Eric enjoyed helping coach Kenilworth Youth Softball and was an Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America and loved spending his weekends at the beach in LBI.
Eric is survived by his wife Michelle, son Andrew and daughter Danielle. Dearly missed by his parents James and Nancy Cherego, his sister Katherine and brother Patrick (Joceline) and is remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews Patrick, Michael, Christopher, Alyssa, Jessica, Julie, Katelyn and Christopher and his aunts Rose Mary, Sandra and June.
Visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2018 from 4pm until 7pm at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park, NJ 07204. The mass will be on Tuesday, September 18 at 10am at the Church of St. Theresa’s, 541 Washington Ave, Kenilworth, NJ 07033.
