Obituary for Laurie Glinka

It is with great sadness that The Glinka Family announces the passing of their Wife, Mother and Nanna at their home in Kenilworth on May 25th.

Laurie M Pazienza, born on May 12, 1959 grew up in Avon, NJ. She attended St. Rose Catholic High School before moving to Union County and meeting her husband Joseph of 30 years where they raised their family.

Laurie was a very active member of The Kenilworth Gospel Chapel community serving The Lord, always an advocate for children and volunteered for years at Pine Bush Bible Camp, Friday Night Kids Club and The Women’s Bible Study. Laurie worked in the Linden Public School District as a teacher’s aid and for Literacy Volunteers of America, teaching English as a Second Language for many years.

Laurie is survived by her husband Joseph Glinka and her children; Jade, Kacey, Morgan, Joellen, her husband Frank Roder, her grandchildren Nadia, Aidan and Joel. She is also survived by her mother, Marcelle Pazienza, deceased father Frank, step-mother Lydia, sister Michelle, brother Frank and her brother-in-law Eddie Glinka and his wife Regina.

Laurie was surrounded by the love of her family, much the same way she gave love to all that she met. The care and heartfelt compassion that Laurie shared will live on forever.

A memorial will be held in her honor at The Kenilworth Gospel Chapel on Sunday June 3, 2018 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Pinebush Bible Camp at pbbc.org.
