Obituary for Albert D. Paglia
Albert D. Paglia, 96, of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3, 2018.
Services were conducted by the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park.
Born in Newark, NJ, Albert moved to Roselle Park, NJ with his wife and son in 1954.
A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota, he was an advertising executive with the New York Post and Gannett Newspapers for 35 years.
Albert was a parishioner, former usher and member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3240 of Church of the Assumption, a former president of the Roselle Park Zoning Board of Adjustments and former president of the Classified Advertising Managers Association in New York.
He was a United States World War II Veteran, serving in the Air Corps for three years.
An avid reader, Albert also enjoyed solving and constructing crossword puzzles.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lucille (Volpe) Paglia.
Surviving is his loving son, Gregory Paglia, adored grandchildren, Danielle and Storm, a dear brother Patsy Paglia, a dear sister, Louise Auciello, and many nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in Albert’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Specialized Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
