Hilary “Larry” J. Tango, 71, a lifelong Elizabeth, NJ, resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 9:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Genevieve R. C. Church in Elizabeth at 11am. Cemetery is private.
Visitation will be 4 to 8pm on Sunday.
He was a supervisor for Supermarket General in Woodbridge, NJ for 30 years, retiring in 1998 and after retiring he worked for Jewish Family Service Kosher Meals on Wheels for 5 years.
Hilary was a member and 3rd degree Knight with Knights of Columbus Council 253 of Elizabeth.
He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army as a SP5T.
He enjoyed fishing, biking, and poker.
Hilary is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Peggi (nee: Tackas) Tango, a loving daughter Jenna Tango and her husband Jason Chiari, and two adored grandsons Joshua and Jeremy.
