Obituary for Mary Tripodi (Chory)
Mary Tripodi, 101, (nee: Chory), of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service on Monday January 8, 2018 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park at 1pm. Please be at the funeral home 12 noon. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
Visitation will be 4 to 8pm on Sunday.
Born in Connellsville, PA, Mary lived in Kenilworth, NJ for 67 years.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother great-great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was the oldest of twelve and always had a smile for everyone her personality lit up the room within seconds. No one could cook and bake like Mary. She also was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City.
She was a volunteer at Union Hospital, past president of the Kenilworth Little League, Ladies Auxiliary of the Kenilworth Volunteer Fire Department, and the P.T.A. in Kenilworth and a member of the Kenilworth Senior Citizens Center.
Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband Dominic “Bip” Tripodi and her loving son Paul Tripodi.
Surviving are four loving children Michael D. Tripodi, Cecelia Quinn, Tina Ciravolo, and Regina Hrynkiewicz, two dear brothers Joseph and Michael Chory and dear sister Joan Lizambri, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
