Sam Michielli, 86, of Toms River, NJ, formerly of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
Visitation will be 3 to 7pm on Tuesday.
Born in Bari, Italy, Sam came to the United States in 1948 to Newark, NJ, living in Roselle Park, NJ for 32 years, before moving to Toms River 22 years ago.
He was an operator for the Borough of Roselle Park Department of Public Works for 11 years, prior to that he was an owner/operator truck driver for Michielli Trucking in Roselle Park.
Sam was a member of the West End Club in Roselle Park.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Diana (Ventre) Michielli.
Surviving are two loving sons Leonard Michielli and his wife Wendy, and Anthony Michielli and his wife Celeste, adored granddaughter Samantha Michielli and her husband Andrew Wenker, dear brother-in-law Anthony Ventre and his wife Nancy, and a dear sister-in-law Catherine Spino. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends.
