Obituary for Stephen Itzowitz

Stephen  Itzowitz
Stephen Itzkowitz, age 43, of North Scranton, P. A. formerly of Elizabeth, N. J. passed away peacefully Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his sisters home, after a brief illness.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, N.J. A service will be in the funeral home at 7:45p.m.

Cemetery will be private.

Born on March 12, 1974 in Newark, N.J.he was the son of the late Barbara Brady and Sheldon Itzkowitz..

For years, he served as the proud owner and operator of S&D Deli of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Passionate about his work, he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty, either working on his car or helping someone work on their own.

Even throughout his battle with Cancer, he still enjoyed taking trips to the Mohegan Sun. Passing away peacefully, he will be forever missed.


He is survived by four loving siblings, Darren Lutz of Elizabeth, N.J., caregiver and sister Shelly Ann Cuevas and her husband Carlos of Scranton, P.A., William Thompson and his wife Rosie of Tom's River, N.J., and Robin Itzkowitz of Elizabeth, N.J.; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, who all considered their Uncle Stephen a second father to them. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Orme and Deborah Morales.


His family would like to thank the amazing staff of Allied Services Hospice Unit for their tremendous care during Stephen's final days.
