Obituary for Anthony M Limone

Anthony M Limone, 86, of Northfield, NJ formerly of Garwood, NJ, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Shore Regional Medical Center in Somers Point, NJ.

Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, NJ on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Ann’s Church in Garwood, NJ at 10am. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.

Visitation is on Wednesday from 6-8pm.

Born and raised in Garwood, NJ, Anthony lived in Hobe Sound, FL for twenty-two years before settling in Northfield, NJ three years ago.

Anthony was a Sprinkler Fitter for Local #696 in Newark for over sixty years.

He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded two Bronze Stars.

Anthony was an Honorary Life Member of Rev. Sylvester P McVeigh Council #4186, Kenilworth. He was a Past Grand Knight, Past Secretary and Past Columbian Club President and a forty-seven year member.
He served as Chairman on several council fund raising committees over the years. He was a 4th Degree member of the JF Kennedy Assembly #666, Union.

Anthony served as a Councilman in Garwood. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.

He was predeceased by his parents, Carmine and Ida (nee: Merola) Limone both immigrants from the Naples area of Italy.

Surviving are his devoted wife of sixty-six years, Jane (nee: Dushanek) Limone, five loving children, Ellen Kutter and her husband Don, Anthony Limone, Jr., James Limone and his wife Sue, Laurie Somma and her husband Bruno, Tracy Antonczak and her husband Robert, a dear brother, Dominick Limone, fifteen adored Grandchildren and ten Great Grandchildren.
