Obituary for Gertrude Burns
Gertrude Burns, 77, of West Orange, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2017.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, August 14, 2017 in St Raphael’s R. C. Church, 346 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ at 11am.
Born and raised in Bayonne, NJ, Gertrude lived in West Orange many years ago.
She was a regulatory manager for Schering Plough in Roseland before retiring 10 years ago, prior to that she worked for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover, NJ, Organ Pharmaceuticals in Roseland, NJ, and a registered nurse for Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ, and St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.
Gertrude is predeceased by her dear brother 3 Star General John Burns of the United States Army, a dear sister Florence Manno, and her beloved parents Walter and Gertrude (nee: Leslie) Burns.
Surviving is a dear brother Robert Burns, a dear sister-in-law Annette Burns, a special friend Robert Brezin, and loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
