Obituary for James Crown

James  Crown
James Crown, 61, of Bayville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2017. He was born on December 29, 1955 and grew up in Elizabeth NJ. He was a resident at Cornell Hall Nursing Home in Union NJ, before moving to Tallwoods Care Center of Bayville in 2010.

Jim attended Roselle Catholic High school and graduated from Seton Hall University with a BS degree in Accounting. He worked as an accountant for several small companies, before becoming a substitute school teacher in the Elizabeth school system. He was a member and recording secretary for the Crestlin Club in Peterstown. Jim enjoyed playing his many guitars and listening to music. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially the New York Mets and Knicks. He was communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Elizabeth.

Jim was predeceased by both his parents, Clinton Crown and Theresa (Gatto) Crown. He is survived by his sister Janice Pennell, brother in law Michael; along with his nephews, Michael and his wife Tracy and Brian Pennell; his great nephews, Matthew, Kevin, Jake, Brayden, Mayson, Myles and great niece Delaynee.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park, NJ. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at the Rosedale & Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, NJ.
