Obituary for William V. Malcolm

William V.  Malcolm
William V. Malcolm, 77, of Roselle Park, NJ and Ocean Gate, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 29, 2017.

Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
Visitation is on Sunday 3 to 8pm.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, William settled to Roselle Park, NJ in 1963 and acquired a second residence in Ocean Gate, NJ in 2004.

He worked for the Union County Sheriff’s Office in Elizabeth, NJ for 36 years, where he rose through the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, and then Captain before retiring as Undersheriff.

William was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth, NJ, member of the Galloping Hill Cruisers in Union, NJ, P. B. A. Local 108 in Elizabeth, NJ, a communicate of Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, NJ and St. Barnabas R. C. Church in Bayville, NJ.

He was going to be honored next week for his dedicated service to the Union County Sheriff’s Softball Team and a proclamation from the Union County Freeholders for all of his accomplishments as an Undersheriff.

William is predeceased by his loving son Robert M. Malcolm.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Penny (nee: March) Malcolm, two loving sons William V. Malcolm, Jr. and his wife Linda, and Ronald V. Malcolm, a dear brother Nicholas J. Malcolm, a dear sister Mary Ann Kaufmann, his adored grandchildren, William V. III and his husband John Branick, Nicole Stillitano and her husband Paul, Dana, Danielle, Kaleigh, and Robert Michael, II, and a cherished great-grandson Charlie.
