Obituary for Philomena O. Piacentini (Cecere)

Philomena O. Piacentini, (nee: Cecere), 92, of Roselle Park passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 8:15am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 9:30am. Interment will follow to Bethel Cemetery, Croton-On-Hudson, NY.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Friday.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Philomena settled to Roselle Park, NJ in 1960.
She was a clerk for Union County Board of Elections in Elizabeth for many years, retiring 12 years ago, prior to that she worked at First National State Bank in Roselle Park.
Philomena was a communicant of Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park and was a member of the Rosary Alter Society and Food Bank.
Philomena and her husband had 64 years together prior to his death in 2011. They were inseparable and enjoyed their time together walking for miles or entertaining family and friends.
She was the matriarch and heart of the entire family. Always present for every occasion and whenever needed she was always around to lend a hand to everyone.
Her favorite quotations were “ I’ve been blessed” and “Use it or lose it” remained active right up to her death.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Angelo Piacentini and a grandson Michael Skiba.
Surviving are four children Barbara (Bill), Paul (Roseann), Richard (Rose), John (Irene); a sister Carmella Duca; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
