Condolence From: Lynn Hooey
Condolence: Dear Rita,
I was saddened to hear of Greg's passing. My late husband Charlie worked with Greg for many years at SOPD. He always had so much respect for Greg, and thought of him as a true friend. I remember Greg as a kind and gentle person. I hope you and your family find comfort in the many happy memories you must have. I will keep you all in my prayers. Lynn Hooey

Condolence From: Mike Bolger, S.O.P.D. (RET.)
Condolence: Dear Rita & Family-

Please accept my deepest condolences on Greg's passing. He was a great friend and an outstanding police officer to all who knew him at S.O.P.D. His intelligence, compassion, good humor and level-head guided us all through every manner of crisis. And he was a terrific mentor to so many of us who came after him; he was always there to help and to listen.

I worked with "The Hawk" for many years as my training officer, sergeant, lieutenant, P.B.A. negotiator, and my friend. He always remained calm, level-headed and objective in all matters. And Greg ALWAYS put the greater good above any personal needs or wants; he was a big picture guy in a profession where immediacy too often dictates action.

May God grant you all strength and comfort to face your sorrow, and may He grant Gregory eternal life in Heaven. Knowing Greg, he will still find some way to make things better, even in Paradise.

In times like this I like to think of all the good & fun things we did together of which there were many.
