Obituary for John Devito

John Devito, 75, of Kenilworth, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 11am. Entombment is at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation is 4 to 8pm on Thursday.
Born in Toritto, Italy, John came to the United States in 1972 moving to Newark before settling to Kenilworth in 1977.
He was a utility worker for Tuscan Dairy in Union for 30 years before retiring in 2005. After retiring he was a crossing guard for the Kenilworth Police Department.
John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents Paolo Devito, Rosa Lozito, and Angela Agosto, and a brother Vito Devito.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Anna (Raguseo) Devito, three loving children Paul Devito and his wife Regina, Rosa Angela Osiadacz and her husband Steven, and Pina Devito Toto and her husband Donato, six adored grandchildren John, Joseph, Anthony, Samantha, Christina, and Alyssa, cherished mother-in-law Giuseppina Raguseo, and seven dear siblings Gaetano, Domenica, Rocco, Rosa, Egidio, Benedetto, and Paolina, two brother-in-laws Lenny and his wife Eileen and John and his wife Mattia. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
