Obituary for Jean V. Marro (Mele)

Jean V. Marro, (nee: Mele), 89, of Roselle Park, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Entombment is at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Sunday.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Jean lived in Roselle Park for 70 years.
She was a social worker for the Union County Division of Ageing in Elizabeth for many years before retiring in 2008. Prior to that she worked with her late husband Frank at Marro Custom Tailor Shop in Roselle Park, freeholder clerk for the Union County Freeholders, and a record room clerk for the Roselle Park Police Department.
Jean was a member of the Roselle Park Democratic Club, committeewoman for the Roselle Park Democratic Committee, charter member of the Rosary Society at Church of the Assumption.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Marro.
Jean is survived by her loving son Frank A. Marro and his wife Mary Ann, two cherished grandchildren Michael A. and Kelly E. Marro, two adored great-grandchildren Sophia and Cameron, and a dear sister Dorothy Jayne Hammell.
